Agar in Petri dish is inoculated with bacteria.Then, sensitivity discs are dispensed onto dish. After incubation, bacterial growth covers dish except for circular inhibited zone around each disc.  Zone diameter is a function of antibiotic strength.  Light from base passes up through transparent and semitransparent portions of agar. Adjust the Intensity of the light source by ‘Bright’ Knob on the panel as per the requirement. Usually low intensity for Zone of Inhibition & High Intensity for Zone of Exhibition.
